National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month
Let’s educate and help our kids stay safe online while navigating from privacy to cyberbullying to safe social media practices. Yes, it can be a challenge, especially this year as kids and parents adjust to a world of virtual classrooms.
Research shows:
- On average a child gets a smartphone by the age of 10
- 40% of elementary-age children have already chatted with a stranger online
- 11% met with the stranger in real life
We can no longer wait until children are in middle or high school to begin teaching them basic safety practices like online stranger danger, keeping personal information private, not sharing passwords, and being kind online to others.
Recognizing the importance of cyber safety, Let’s give our kids and parents some resources provided by the National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month site

Each week this month is a challenge for the kids to be proactive in this fight.
