Oak Creek Club Vehicle and Parking Policies

Dear Oak Creek Club Residents,

We hope this message finds you well. To maintain a safe, orderly, and enjoyable living environment, we would like to remind all residents of the parking policies in place within your community. Adherence to these rules is essential for the smooth functioning of your shared spaces. (Below is a summarized version of Oak Creeks Club’s Vehicle Policy).

General Parking Rules

Designated Parking Areas: Vehicles may only be parked in designated parking spaces and parking areas within the lots.

Prohibited Street Parking: Parking on private streets within the community is generally prohibited, except under the following circumstances:

  • Guest Parking: Residents expecting guests requiring street parking for two vehicles or less must ensure that guest passes are clearly displayed on the visitor’s vehicle dashboard.
  • Social Events: For events requiring street parking for more than two vehicles, parking passes must be requested from the Management Office at least 72 hours in advance. Vehicles must be removed from the street no later than 1:00 a.m. (extended to 2:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day). Approval from the Management Office is required for any exceptions

Hazardous Vehicle Conditions: Vehicles may not be parked or stored in hazardous conditions, including being on jacks or blocks.

Vehicle Repairs: Major vehicle repairs, such as painting and draining fluids, are not permitted within the community.

Parking Space Modifications: Any changes to parking spaces, including signs or storage containers, require prior written approval from the Oak Creek Club Board of Directors.

Additional Parking Areas: Creation of new parking areas within any lot must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Bike Lanes: Vehicles are prohibited from parking in designated bike/pedestrian lanes at all times.

Parking Restrictions: Parking on both sides of the street is strictly prohibited.

Guest Parking Duration: Vehicles in guest parking spaces may not stay longer than 72 consecutive hours without HOA approval.

Prohibited Vehicles

The following vehicles are not allowed to be parked or stored in open view within the community:

– Boats, trailers, motor homes, self-contained campers, mobile homes, and similar recreational vehicles.

– Commercial vehicles as defined by Prince George’s County Code.

– Private or public school buses, large trucks, and any vehicle exceeding specific size limits (18 feet long or 8 feet wide).

– Vehicles not regularly used for daily transportation, including non-operational or unlicensed vehicles.

Enforcement and Towing

Non-compliant vehicles will be subject to the following enforcement measures:

– Immediate Towing: Vehicles parked on the street without notice to the HOA or remaining after 1:00 a.m. are subject to immediate towing.

– Blocking Access: Vehicles blocking other vehicles, sidewalks, or access to lots will be towed immediately.

– Warning Notices: Vehicles violating other rules will receive a warning notice. If not addressed within 72 hours, the vehicle will be towed. Repeat violations will result in immediate towing without further notice.

– Derelict or Nuisance Vehicles: These will receive a warning notice and be towed if not addressed within 72 hours. Repeat offenses will result in immediate towing.

– Prohibited Vehicles: Will be towed if not removed within 72 hours of notice. Repeat offenses will result in immediate towing.

All towing will be conducted by the Oak Creek Club’s authorized towing agent, who is properly insured and bonded. Unauthorized towing companies are not permitted.
